Overdraft Options

An overdraft occurs when you don’t have enough money in your account to cover a transaction, but we pay it anyway.

We know that everyone’s situation is different, and overdraft protection shouldn’t be one-size-fits-all—that’s why we let you choose the level that best satisfies your needs.

Dynamic Transfer

Designate a secondary account from which we automatically draw in the event your primary account has insufficient funds.

Overdraft Line of Credit

In the event your account is about to become overdrawn, we advance a line of credit and transfer funds to help pay for transactions that would overdraw your account.*

Standard Overdraft Practice

This option comes with your checking, NOW or money market deposit account. We may pay, for a fee, overdraft transactions at our discretion based on your account history, the deposits you make, the transaction amount and whether you have had excessive overdrafts. We do NOT GUARANTEE we will always pay your overdraft transaction, and if we do not pay your transaction, the transaction will be declined or returned unpaid.

Tracking your balance may help you avoid fees

Use any of these options to check your balance before you make a purchase: Log in to Online or Mobile Banking, set up Account Alerts at WebWiseBanking.com, use any Adirondack Trust ATM, or call (800) 485-7899.
