Adirondack Trust Company Announces September Community Shred Day in Saratoga Springs

Saratoga Springs, New York—The Adirondack Trust Company will host a personal document-shredding day on Saturday, September 14, 2019. The event will be open to the public and will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.* in the West End Parking Lot of ATC’s Mabee Building, which is located at 31 Church Street, Saratoga Springs.

Individuals are welcome to bring their personal data for confidential destruction. Items that will be accepted for shredding include sensitive papers (white or color), carbon paper, file folders, old checkbooks, bank statements, expired credit cards or debit cards, and plastic ID cards. Paper items with staples and/or paperclips will be accepted, and these items do not need to be removed prior to shredding.

ATC Community Shred Days are intended for individuals, and participants are limited to shredding two banker-style sized boxes each.

“Identity theft and fraud are serious problems,” ATC Executive Vice President Charles V. Wait, Jr., said. “People can mitigate these issues by the proper disposal of personal information, and we’re happy to be able to provide a service to our community that does just this.”

* Once a shredder truck is full, we are unable to accept further material for destruction. Our shred events are on a first-come, first-served basis.
