Saratoga Springs, New York—Adirondack Trust Company was happy to play host to former Sen. Phil Gramm on Tuesday for a tour of the Bank’s Main Office building in the heart of Saratoga Springs, New York.
Gramm, a former senator from Texas, helped shape today’s financial industry landscape as chair of the Senate Banking Committee, steering legislation modernizing banking, insurance, and securities laws.
“I’m thrilled that former Sen. Gramm paid us a visit,” said Adirondack Trust Board of Directors Chair Charles V. Wait. “It is always a pleasure to show our guests around the building. When our guests include people as important to our line of work as Sen. Gramm, though, it’s a distinguished honor.”
During their afternoon tour, Mr. Wait showed former Sen. Gramm many of the intricate details that make the Bank so interesting to history and art lovers—artifacts from the Revolutionary War, hand-carved furniture, cast bronze doors, gilded chandeliers, and more.
