THE ADIRONDACK TRUST COMPANY ANNOUNCES COMMUNITY SHRED DAY
Saratoga Springs, New York—The Adirondack Trust Company announced today that they will be providing a free personal document shredding day that is open to the public on Saturday, April 23rd. The event will take place from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at ATC’s Mabee Building located at 31 Church Street, Saratoga Springs.
Individuals are welcome to bring their personal data for confidential destruction. Items that will be accepted for shredding include sensitive papers (white or color), carbon paper, file folders, old checkbooks, bank statements, expired credit cards or debit cards, and plastic ID cards. Paper items with staples and/or paperclips will be accepted, they do not need to be removed prior to shredding.
This service is intended for individuals, and will have a 2 box limit for each person. Stephan von Schenk, ATC President noted, “The purpose of a shred day is to remind our community that identity theft and fraud is a very real and important issue that can be prevented when properly disposing of personal information. As a bank, we are keenly aware of the sensitivity of bank documents and want to offer our customers and our community a way to help keep their identity safe.”
